Notes and Reminders

Water Bottles and Sun Block!

Please have your children or help your children apply sunblock before they come to school. We will support children in reapplying as needed. Also, we encourage all elementary children to bring a water bottle to school; it can be as simple as a washed out and recycled juice bottle with your child’s name. Thank you for helping us keep your children safe and healthy in the warm weather!

 

Literacy Night is Upon Us!

Our final Cornerstone Café for 2018 is scheduled for Friday, June 1 at 8:30 a.m. We hope to see you there!

 

CMES Bus Ride Application for 2018-19

Please complete and return the Bus Ride Application if you wish to have your child(ren) ride the school bus for the 2018-19 school year. Click here for a copy of the Bus Ride Application along with the CMES Bus Policy. Please return your completed application by Wednesday, June 6th to be included in bus route scheduling for the 2018-19 school year.

    • Fly Up! For Families of children graduating from Children’s House! Please click here for all the details!
    • Sixth Year Graduation information was sent out to families of our Sixth Year Graduates. Please contact your child’s guide if you have questions about graduation.
    • Community Picnic; Thursday, June 7, 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Phalen Lake!
      • The 2018 picnic is just around the corner(stone)! Join us Thursday, June 7th for a celebration of the children, family and staff of Cornerstone Elementary.
      • Take a gander at the lost and found table, sign up for the parent Facebook page, connect for summer play dates, try your luck with fishing and listen to some inspiring 6th grade graduate speeches.
      • We are recruiting helpers for 30-minute sessions. Lost and found, Facebook page information/sign up, fishing and mingling helpers!  Please contact Jeremy Sartain to volunteer for any of these positions via email at Sartain.Jeremy@gmail.com or call/text to 612-414-5224. 

 

World Café has been rescheduled for June 23rd. Early childhood families, please mark your calendars and watch for more news about this event and how you can share your thoughts about what supports might be helpful to you in your roles as parents of young children!

Boys and Girls Club will be closed on these dates.

  • Monday – Friday, May 28 - June 1 

Boys and Girls Club will have different hours on these dates.

  • Monday – Friday, June 4-8, Boys and Girls Club is open 2:30 to 6:30
