Dear Families,

Fall is definitely in the air, and we are starting to see the runny noses and coughs that accompany the change in weather.  I hope everyone is staying healthy!

We are all looking forward to seeing you on Monday at the Parent Partnership event!  If you have not already done so, please RSVP to as soon as possible so that we can ensure we have sufficient food and childcare available.  At 5pm you are invited to join me in the Multi-purpose Room for a discussion of Cornerstone’s successes over the past year and what’s ahead. Dinner will be served at 5:30 in the MCM lecture room/coffee bar, and then you are invited to join the guides in the environments for a conversation about the Planes of Development.

In addition, flu shots will be available in the office area for all children and adults who may wish to get one.  Please bring the attached flyer with you, and let us know if you have any questions. Click here for a copy of the registration form.

As September comes to a close, we will begin DIBELS testing for all children in kindergarten and up.  This is a reading assessment that helps identify children who might need extra reading support.

The World Cafe for Early Childhood families is coming up in mid-October!  Please join us on October 22 for dinner and conversation about parenting and community connectedness.  RSVP to by October 15.

And finally, the outreach team at Montessori Center of Minnesota has a wonderful Birth to 5 program for caregivers and their under-5 children on Wednesdays and Fridays at Ames Lake Community Center.  Please click here for more information.

Have a wonderful weekend,
