Dear Families,

I hope you all had meaningful conferences this week. These are such a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s successes and partner with the guides to support your child’s growth.

Halloween is this Wednesday. Please note it is a normal day at Cornerstone and children should leave their costumes (and candy) at home.

Friday is our November Cornerstone Café, at 8:30am in the MCM lobby. Mara Johnson will join us this month! If the 8:30 start time does not work for your schedules, please let us know what time would work better (7:30am or 8am).

The Upper Elementary environments (Marsh and Forest) will be hosting an alumni night immediately following the November 26 Parent Partnership at 7pm. Childcare for siblings will be provided.

Liesl and Cornerstone were featured in the most recent edition of Montessori Public!  Click here to read the article.

We have some very exciting news from Pond.  Amber and her family are expecting a new baby in April!  We have begun conversations around Amber’s maternity leave and will keep the entire community updated as decisions are made.

And finally, please join me in welcoming Courtney Peterson to our team! Courtney will be a paraprofessional, mostly in Garden. Courtney is a Montessori parent and recently completed her Montessori training at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She has extensive experience in public Montessori schools, both here in St. Paul and in Wisconsin, as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and literacy specialist. We are excited to have her join us.

The fall is a busy time, with many after-school events and new experiences for the children in their environments. One of the joys of this work is getting to know all the families and children - please continue reaching out with questions and thoughts. My cell number is 651-895-4999 and I can be reached by email at any time at alyssa@mtcm.orgor
