Dear Families,

We’ve had a wonderful first week back at school!  I hope 2019 is off to a good start for each of you.

As hinted at in Monday’s email, we have a busy month ahead of us.  We are holding an Open House for the Early Childhood program (Toddler Community and Children’s Houses) next Thursday, January 17, at 5:30pm.  If you have friends or family who are interested in a program for their children this fall, please invite them to join us.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you on January 26 for our annual Stone Soup event.  Please RSVP to Zitlali if you will attend and let her know if you can bring soup or bread to share.  Click here for the flyer with more information.  That same morning is the Charter School Fair at the Wilder Center.  Chris and I will be there to share our school with the wider St. Paul community.  We would love to see you stop by!

And on January 31 is the first in a series of workshops with Alicia Sojourner titled How to Talk WITH Kids about Race and Racism.  We are very excited to welcome Alicia back to Cornerstone.  More information about these events can be found here.  We hope you will join us for one or all of the conversations.

Please note, as well, that school will be closed on January 21 to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Boys and Girls Club will be open 9-5 that day, and closed January 25.

We are excited to settle into 2019 and to see all the big work your children will accomplish in the coming months.

Have a great weekend!
