Dear Families,

Despite the snow, we had a great first week back from break.  The 5th and 6th years went on a field trip to the State Capitol and had a chance encounter with the state senator for our district.  We will definitely be inviting Senator Foung Hawj to visit Cornerstone! Enjoy some photos of the children’s visit!

We are preparing for the 2019-2020 school year; your child brought home this week an Intent to Return form, indicating your plans for continued attendance at Cornerstone Montessori Elementary.  You can also click here to print the form.  We appreciate you returning the document to Chris or me by April 18.

On April 23 we will hold our second self-compassion for parents workshop, sponsored by Serving the Whole Child.  This workshop is open to parents in the Toddler Community and Children’s Houses; attendance at the first session is not required to attend this one.  Please click here to learn more and RSVP to Zitlali by April 18 for dinner and childcare.

Things are definitely busy this month, as the 3rd-6th years work their way through the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments and the Children’s Houses host student teachers from the primary training course at the Montessori Center of Minnesota.  MCM is beginning a 3-summer elementary training course this summer. I would love to talk with anyone who might be interested in participating!

Have a great weekend - hopefully this is the last of winter!
