Dear Families,

While time seems to have limited meaning these days, we do have a 3-day weekend ahead of us.  I hope everyone enjoys their day off on Monday!

Meals Next Week

Because of the Memorial Day holiday, meal delivery and pickup will be scheduled for Tuesday, May 26.

MNSure Enrollment

MNSure, Minnesota’s public health insurance exchange, is offering a special enrollment period due to the Covid-19 crisis.  Click here for more information.

End of Year Activities

There are a number of celebrations that typically bring our community together at the end of the school year.  The staff has been working hard to find online ways to celebrate this year.  More information will come about specific events in the next week, including Zoom links for participation.  In the meantime, mark your calendars for:

Kindergarten Fly-up

You, and everyone you know that can fit on your video screen, are cordially invited to the 1st (and hopefully only) Annual Children's House One and Two Virtual Fly-Up Extravaganza! It would mean so much to our community if you were able to come to the event, which will be quite brief. Fly-up will begin at 10 am on Thursday, June 4th.

Sixth Grade Graduation

This event is always an incredibly special one, celebrating the amazing children who are graduating from Cornerstone’s Upper Elementary program. This year, we are able to invite everyone in our community to view this ceremony live, a silver lining in our Covid cloud.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 4th at 2pm! We will celebrate together at a distance with songs, honoring words, and a slideshow. Please join us for this important event.

School Picnic, 3rd Grade Celebration, Field Day

We are working on a special, asynchronous replacement for the school picnic.  Stay tuned for details.

Kes’ava and Sara will reach out to 3rd grade families directly to share information about a celebration for those children.

Unfortunately, we have no way to replace Field Day, which is our traditional last day of school.  Instead, each class will celebrate in a special way within their own collectives.  Your guides will contact you directly with information about June 5 activities.

As you see, June 4th is a busy day for our children.  As such, collectives and lessons will not be scheduled on June 4.  We encourage you all, instead, to join us for Fly-up and Graduation.

Have a nice long weekend,

Alyssa
