Stepping Stones News 3-3-23
Dear Families,
It’s been so nice to have a regular, full week with the children! Enclosed are some photos to remind us of all the wonderful things that happen when we’re together. In Pond, the children borrowed geometry sticks from around the school to make a polygon as big as the whole room, and at recess we took full advantage of the deep snow!
Camp Ihduhapi Family Days
Later this spring, the Upper Elementary children will take their annual field trip to Camp Ihduhapi (more on that later!). Before then, all Cornerstone families are invited to attend the Maple Syrup Festival on Sunday, April 16, and the ForEverest West activity challenges on May 7. Please note these events do carry a fee.
In-Service Days Next Week
Next Thursday/Friday, March 9-10, are in-service days for staff as they prepare for conferences. There will be no school either day.
Conferences
Speaking of conferences, please make sure you sign up at myconferencetime.com/mtcm for the opportunity to speak with your child’s teacher and any specialists they see. Conferences will be March 23-24, in-person unless otherwise indicated, and child-care will be available. We also welcome families to contribute food to keep the staff going through these busy days! Early Childhood Screenings
This is a final reminder that Early Childhood Screenings will take place at Cornerstone next Wednesday, March 8. If your child brought home a packet, they are eligible to be screened. Please return your completed packet no later than Tuesday afternoon. Screenings are free, required by law in Minnesota, and do not require that parents be present. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need a new copy of your child’s packet.

¡Ha sido tan agradable tener una semana normal y completa con los niños! Se adjuntan algunas fotos para recordarnos todas las cosas maravillosas que suceden cuando estamos juntos. En Pond, los niños tomaron prestados palos de geometría de la escuela para hacer un polígono tan grande como todo el salón, ¡y en el recreo aprovechamos al máximo la nieve profunda!
Camp Ihduhapi Días familiares Más tarde esta primavera, los niños de Upper Elementary realizarán su excursión anual al Camp Ihduhapi (¡hablaremos más adelante!).
